Easter Treats ~ April 23, 2011

Saturday afternoon, we made little "Easter baskets" out of scrapbook paper we have had stored in our craft box. They turned out very cute and we were glad to have used items we already had. (We also made "grass" out of saved tissue paper!)

We always dye eggs the evening before Easter; this year they were brown eggs and so the colors turned out very interesting.

Susanna made this barrette for Emma's hair; I thought it turned out so cute and unique.

A new tradition: Susanna made this delectable healthy carrot cake with lemony cream cheese icing!

Sarakate made these chocolate eggs with a peanut butter, cream cheese, and cocnut filling! (very yummy)

Banana nut muffins for a quick Easter breakfast before church.

Our lovely little "Easter baskets"
We enjoy the tradition, but keep it small as we never want the meaning of such a holy day to be lost.

The children had a few pieces of chocolate from Germany and a few favorite candies from America (the commissary)!
