Sarakate's 18th birthday - She asked for homemade pizzas, fruit, and little cakes.
Some very sweet raspberry lemonade and happy hippos finished off the celebration.
We love you very much, Sarakate!
Sarakate ~ very opinionated, loves books (especially classics), has eccentric style, makes delicious brownies, hopes to get a part time job at the local used bookstore, plans to study history/art history in college, dreams of working in a museum someday
My beautiful girl, my oldest child, I know you are not overly fond of too much emotion and so I will keep it simple. I am overwhelmed with gratitude to a gracious Heavenly Father who gave you to me. I remember holding this tiny, beautiful baby taking its very first breaths and being afraid. I loved you so fiercely and passionately from the very moment I knew of your existence and I wanted to do everything just right for you. Along the way, I have stumbled many times, but I hope you know that I have gotten up again and again, all the while pleading for wisdom, courage, and strength from a loving and an almighty God. I see your independence and I am amazed, I see your willingness to stand alone for your beliefs and I am humbled, and I see you stand where I have fallen and I am so grateful. I hope and pray for your future decisions, that each and every one will honor God. Live your life passionately for your Heavenly Father and know that where ever He takes you, He will never leave you.
I love you,
Mom
